Duties and Responsibilities: Speech-Language pathologist help treat, prevent and diagnose communication, swallowing disorders in their patients. They help their patients with their fluency and their disorders on speaking or writing. They help their patients with their language because it might have been caused due to a former stroke, head injury or also hearing loss. They work with children of all ages. They are also known as the speech or language therapists. In order to diagnose what is happening to their patient they must be able to communicate with their patient in many ways, using words or even pictures to be able to understand. They must communicate correctly in order to conclude with the correct treatment course.
Salary: $69,508- $82,426 but the salary varies on their factors.
Education: Master’s Degree in speech pathology
