Student Success Statement

"If I've got the correct goals, and if I keep pursuing them the best way I know how, everything else falls into line. If I do the right thing, I'm going to succeed."

I believe that this statement is trying to say that if you want to succeed then you need to make goals and the pursue them the right way. When you make a goal you adding one step into your life that needs to be built. In order to build this step you must pursue your goal and achieve it the correct way. For example let us say that there was a project and your goal was to finish it by the end of class. You started off really well but then you got stuck on the last question. You decided to copy the person next to you and then you turned your project in. You will not succeed because you copied the person next to you. If you would have looked through a passage to find the answer then you would have completed your goal the right way but by cheating you have completed your goal the incorrect way. Therefore nothing will fall into place because you will feel guilt that wouldn't be there if you decided to do the project without cheating. On the other hand if you did finish the project and you asked for help and then answered the question then you have pursued your goal the right way. Never make the wrong choice, Make the right choice because you want to not have to.
