Duties and Responsibilities: Yoga therapist use yoga to help people with a range of health issues. Some of these issues are asthma, diabetes, back pain or high blood pressure. A yoga therapist will also help people that have emotional issues. These emotional issues include, stress, anxiety, depression, etc. Yoga therapist tailor their patient in their specific need. Every patient has a specific system to follow due to the reason they are seeing a yoga therapist. The yoga therapist has these systems with the aim of helping ease the symptoms and preventing further health problems. Yoga therapist start therapy with consultation. They take note of their client's physical condition, medical history and related lifestyle factors. Then they move on to showing easy techniques to more complex ones. They teach their clients breathing exercises, relaxation techniques and visual exercises. They also give their clients advice on how to maintain good health, inner peace and relaxation.

Salary: A yoga therapist gets paid $40,970 yearly.

Education: Therapist training program, interactive yoga therapy training certificate, high school diploma.

Demand for this Profession: There is said to be an 8% increase throughout the years 2014-2024.

Reflection: Would you like to be one? Why? Why not?

   I would not like to be a yoga therapist because I have never really been interested in yoga. My thoughts on this specific profession is that it requires little schooling and I want to go to school longer than this profession should.
