"They're only truly great who are truly good."
-George Chapman
I believe that what this quote is trying to say is that you can only be great if you are a good person on the inside. If you are good on the inside and have a kind heart then you will be great in anything because of your good character. See being great isn't what makes people like you, it's what's on the inside that counts. What you hold close to you should be respect, honor for others, and responsibility. These things make you great on both the inside and outside. Never let anyone tell you that you are only good on the saxophone or the flute because that talent required you to give up so much. Talent is a gift for those who show that they are willing to be there for others when the time comes. Talent is not something to pout on top of everything else because you think you are the only person who can do. The only thing that makes your talent so great is the good person that is within you. You can be the best student and still not be great because you are a jerk to everyone. Not everyone gets treated equally. Those who are treated with so much respect tend to abuse it making them a not so good person which breaks their great efforts but those who get treated with so little respect are the ones who worship it most of all because they know with that little amount of respect they can go far and in order to get it you have to give. Just like the golden rules says, treat others the way you want to be treated. In order to be treated like a good person you must treat others like a good person. Never say that a person is only great because they know how to play a sport or they can play an instrument. Judge their greatness with the good that's within them.
