Ophthalmologist
Duties and Responsibilities: Ophthalmologist are are doctors that treat diseases and conditions that affect the eye. They are also known as “eye doctors” and they also perform some of the same duties as the optometrist but they differ because they perform eye surgery but they also treat eye diseases, and they also help with before- and after- eye surgery problems and care. They also examine the eye and prescribe contact lenses and glasses to their patients if necessary. They may also give their patient vision and eye tests to see how their sight is working. They must have strong physics and math skills and a robust medical knowledge. Some ophthalmologist also own their own their own practice center which means that good management and administrative skills could also be helpful.
Salary: Their average salary is $197,700 for the ophthalmologist.
Education: To become an ophthalmologist you have to, complete medical school, 3-8 years internship residency, have a state license(varies on state) and a 4-year Bachelor’s Degree.
Demand: 14% increase between 2014-2024.

I would not like to be one because I don’t really want to go to medical school. I want to go to law school or music school. I also have a hard time processing math which is a key requirement in this job.
