Duties and Responsibilities: A Nursing Home Administration is a specialized area of medical and health services management.  The typical duties of the administrator are to oversee staff and personnel, financial matters, medical care, medical supplies, facilities and other duties as specific positions demand. Some skills the nursing home administrator must require are to interpret large amounts of possibly conflicting information, good communication skills, and they must have knowledge of the cross-section of health care and business fields. You also must be able to take their medical history so that you may help them with whatever conflict can happen in the future.  

Salary: Their average salary is $94,500. 

Education: Bachelor's Degree, Graduate's Degree in Health Service Administration, License(Depending on state), Master's Degree(Depends on position), Credential.  

Demand: The expected outlook is a 17% increase between the years of 2014-2024.

  I would like to be a nursing home administrator because I like to help people out and I will be able to help people who really need it. Also I could help people that are in my community that are not able to care for themselves anymore. This is why I would like to become a Nursing Home Administrator.
