Duties and Responsibilities:  Dermatologist are physicians who specialize in skin treatments. Sometimes they treat disorders not only in skin but in hair and nails. A dermatologist must go through specialized training in order to be able to help patients. The duties of a dermatologist depend on what statistic you are at at. Every duty is different depending on the dermatologist. Dermatologist consult their patients about their diagnosis. As a result some dermatologist have to perform advanced screening on their patients.  As a dermatologist you also have to:
  • Check the patient’s body for visible symptoms
  • May have to feel for lumps or swelling
  • Regularly perform inspections in their work
  • Conduct diagnosis test (if necessary)
  • Perform small surgical procedures
Average Salary: $300,000

Education Requirements:Pre-Medical Degree, Medical Degree,
And Dermatology Training, Bachelor’s Degree, Residency Training, MOHS Degree(optional)

Demand for this Profession: Dermatologist demand is projected to grow 18% percent between the years of 2012 to 2022.

I would like to become a dermatologist because this medical fiend is interesting to me. It requires a lot of educational requirements and I am willing to test how far I can go. I also want to become a dermatologist because I would like to see the differences in a person’s skin health.
