9/11 Memorial               September 11th, 2001 Attacks

       The event that took place on September 11th, 2001 was a sad story for our nation. A time of grief for many families and friends of the victims. It all started in the morning when the first tower shot hit with an airplane with 92 people aboard. This plane hit the north tower. The south tower was hit at 9:03 am with another plane that had 65 people aboard. The south tower only lasted 56 minutes before burning down. The north tower burned down a few hours after the south tower collapsed. Due to the fire in the north and south towers the remaining buildings surrounding the towers starting burning as well. Buildings 3,4,5 and 7 all burned down. Building 7 lasted the longest. Burning down in 7 hours. An officer has said that some mysterious person gave an order for everyone to evacuate the building. Up to this day no one know who this mysterious hero is but they do know that they saved thousands of lives.  In 2009 construction builders decide to honor the people who died. They went to all the families who lost their loved ones in the tragedy and had 1200 requests. These workers filled the requests thus making many families feel honored to see that their loved ones are valued. To this day we still honor those who died and served to save the lives of the survivors. During the tragedy three firefighters found the ground zero flag. The ground zero flag was the surviving United  States flag. They hung the flag on the flag pole to honor everyone who was in the building. That flag traveled all around the world and inspired others top keep moving forward. I feel very sad these families that went through so much suffering but proud that they did whatever it took to try and save others.
