By saying that obedience is the key to freedom he means that by being obedient you get to do more things you like. If you listen to your parents they will most likely let you go out with your friends to eat or hang out. If you disobey your parents you are most likely going to get punished. What does being obedient have to do with my life? you might say. It has to do with your life everyday. It starts out with school. If you dont do your homework you are showing people you are not responsible and that you didn't listen to your teacher. If you work hard and study like your teacher asks, if you pass your tests by doing it the correct way, you are showing your teacher that she can rely on you for any task ahead. To be obedient you first have to learn how to obey. The more you listen and do what you are asked to do the more you will get to be with your friends or get to go eat at a restaurant, etc. Remember to listen and do your best with out taking the short-cuts in life.
