Dentist
Duties and Responsibilities:  Dentist are specialist that promote oral health and disease prevention. Dentist work on any age from toddler to elderly, and teenager to adult. A dentist is required to do x-rays in your mouth so they can get a closer look at the inside of your teeth and gums. If needed the dentist will have to pull out any  necessary teeth to make sure your mouth is in a healthy condition. A dentist also helps put special medication on your teeth and gums to prevent cavities from forming. Sometimes a dentist will need to perform a necessary procedure to relieve you from toothaches and cavity pain so they use anesthetic. As a dentist you will:
  • Sit with your patient for a 30- 60 minute appointment
  • You will keep files that consists of any infections before
  • Update patient's information at every appointment( if necessary)
  • Provide the proper information to your patient about their oral health and what they can do to help keep it in healthy conditions.
Average Salary: $166,810 is the average salary for a dentist.
Education Requirements: To become a dentist you need a doctorate or professional degree
Demand for this Profession: The demand for dentists is projected to grow 18% from 2014-2024

I would not like to become a dentist because I don’t want to feel like I might to do something wrong.  I would also not be a dentist because I would not like to accidentally mix up patients file causing chaos with the patients.
